Finding Inspiration (Cross Roads)

I’ve spent eight years of my life wishing I would have a career in entertainment. I always thought of myself as someone who would bring joy to others through games and overall entertainment. Here you will find stories of my past and hopefully future as I work my way to fame through YouTube entertainment.

If you are still reading this, I want to start off by thanking you for your support and give you a little bit of a backstory of my life. Let’s start at the end of high school for this story. As I was finishing up high school, I was quickly realizing I hadn’t given my future much thought. I was currently at a cross road when it came to my future career, I had the option of entering the manufacturing industry or head down the path of art. Now I was in a “manufacturing academy” in high school which was a series of classes designed to get you in a manufacturing job after high school AKA Pepsi, Frito-Lay, etc. Now these classes taught me a lot like 3D modeling, woodworking, solar technology, robotics, small engines, welding and more. I enjoyed these classes very much, but I always felt like something was missing. The other path that I was looking down was Art. Now I will be 100% honest with you, I struggled with art. I would have so many visions in my head of what I wanted my artwork to look like, but I lacked the skills to get it on paper. Then I found out the school was starting a new art class and was calling it Graphic Design  “Three guesses what that was about”. I decided to take this class because I had already started to learn Photoshop on my own time and wanted to see if I could learn more. Little did I know, I would fall in love with the idea of digital art and how technology was being used to create art.

This brings me to the last few weeks of school and my art teacher and I had a conversation about games and how I loved to play games and look at minor details in games. My teacher took this as an opportunity to open my eyes and scheduled a meeting with a college rep. I was unaware of this meeting and was called in to the principal’s office. Now let's take a moment to tell you I was a good kid and getting called up by the principal scared the living daylights out of me. After waiting for the principal in her office for a while, she came in and said “follow me”. I had no idea what was going on and followed her to the conference room to find a man sitting there with a laptop. He introduced himself and showed me the wonderful world of game design.
