Dealing with Stress

Hey guys, I’m here in the beautiful Monterey, CA and I wanted to take a minute and talk to you guys about stress. I had reached a point in my life where all it seemed I could do was stress over bills and work and supporting a family and, believe it or not, I stressed over whether or not I can make it here on YouTube. This feeling of failure and stress got to me so much that I became very unresponsive to my family because every minute of every day, I was in my own head. Why am I telling you this… because I want you guys to know that if you are going through the same thing, if not similar to what I am going through, there is a solution. And for me, that solution is to get away.

I came here to Monterey, CA because I wanted to find a place where I felt free from my everyday life. With 2020 causing everyone so much pain and misery, it's easy to forget the little things in life. When I first got here, it was very easy to become overwhelmed with all of the new guidelines put in place due to covid. There are signs everywhere stating there is a 100 dollar fine for not wearing a mask. And when we checked into the hotel, they informed us that the maid service, restaurant, and bar were closed. This made me immediately think: “Was it worth coming?” But then after seeing the room and noticing that outside there were blue skies, I thought to myself, it’s been months since I’ve seen blue skies and maybe things aren’t as bad as they seem. Yes, a lot of things are closed, but I should be happy at the fact that I even have the opportunity to get away.

What I’m trying to get to from all of this is sometimes all you need to do is take a moment and realize that things can get better, it’s what you make of it. If you're feeling stressed and overwhelmed and you feel like 2020 is bringing you down, try to get away. It doesn’t have to be like what I did and go to the beach, I think even if you just find a cheap hotel near you or go to a family member's house for the night it is enough to get yourself away and appreciate the little things.

Life can be a lot better, it just takes an open mind to notice the little pleasures of life.

As Always Stay Awesome.
